Liam Doran said Tanner lost power just before the jump and only just made it. Would have been the third bad accident at X games this year. On the rally cross course Hekken got the jump totally wrong and was in hospital with broken foot, ribs and abdominal bleeding. Due to this the seventy foot jump was made into a table top then Gronholm hit an opening in the track and injured himself. Liam pulled out of practice.

The Hekken accident was shown on ESPN, he was lucky not to have worse injuries as the engine bay burst into flames whilst he was still trapped inside the up turned car.
