To check if your sinkers contain lead, you can use a home test kit that is designed to quickly test metals. I recommend this test for lead, which is easy to use and gives accurate results. Simply test the surface of the sinker and you'll know immediately if it has lead in it. If the result is positive, you should consider replacing the sinkers with modern sinkers made of safe materials.
