Sorry to hi-jack your thread but I thought it better to post here rather than start another!
My car was recently repaired by a Citroen garage for some damage they caused; sadly, although they repaired it (most of it) they have left the car covered in swirls around 4 times worse than the first picture in Andy's post in certain light (the flood light on the drive). I don't have a machine polisher and was wondering what I should use to get rid of them? Type of cloth and product based on experience as I have only really touched up and used a little super resin polish or resprayed and never needed to polish afterwards...

I'm based in North East London for the next 3 & 1/2 weeks.
Would the swirl X product and a standard micro fiber cloth do the trick? and would it be fine to use it in direct sunlight?
By hand I would use Meguiars Ultimate Compound and a white Farecla G3 applicator. Then buff off mf cloth.
I would not apply in direct sunlight as panels may get too warm. Apply undecover or early evening/morning when it is cooler.

Sounds like a lot of work.. I would recommend investing in a DA polisher..then you will always have it for any future problems. And a professional finish every time with a lot less effort .. Expensive but still cheaper than paying for a detail

^^Pretty much what I do, with some SRP after, and Sonax P&S to finish.

Good call :-)
Worked a treat on the Fiesta, even use it to smooth a touch up on a Very Deep scratch, perfect!, Except a slight (ok, huge) error in shade of new paint.. oops.
Sadly, this didn't work on my DS3? :s It got all of the "light" swirls but left the deeper ones. I assume these are scratches rather than the typical swirl as they do catch my nail... :'-(
Do you have any tips for blending paint work without wet sanding? The polish I use any goes so far...
