  • I got detailed.....

Greatest thanks today to a certain RabidRacoon28 who detailed my lady today. Just shy of 8 hours of processing and ended up with a dazzlingly sparking clean lady with a deep deep shine!

Seriously impressed with the entire process. Alas Andy is likely now to be thrown a lot of questions as to where to obtain some of the kit used today.

Andy went beyond anticipated levels and assisted with providing a few bits and bobs as well as fitting the Club decals, so my lady is now dressed appropriately.

Sterling job done and great to put a face to the handle.

    Snowfoaming in progress:

Was nice to detail my first yellow coloured car; was worried beforehand that that particular colour may not show a considerable difference. How wrong I was. The yellow became very deep and warm (not as warm as me today though).

Very happy myself with the end results and Daron should have a good 12 months protection with the sealant applied.

Looking great - nice job Andy - I had to cancel the booked detail I had today, it was part of a full machine correction and the sun was just too hot - flipping weather, it's hard to get just the right weather for machine correction! But I was worried that spinning at 1500 rpm plus doing some potential compounding was just too much.

What LSP have you used Andy? (sorry if I've missed it by looking at the pics and not reading the words! )

Lovely deep colours like yellows do show a remarkable difference - I sometimes think when I do some super cars the colours won't show a difference, but luckily they do.

I need to work out an eight hour enhancement on a DS3, I'm struggling to get below 10 at the moment on my basic enhancement, lol...

                        Regards,
                        Clive.

ps I did manage about a 2 hour 'keyed' scratch removal on a front wing and door between 6pm and 8pm ish Could get out of the sun then, but still took the panels to very hot with the rotary! Damn vandals.

Just a quick question for Clive, I know you teach people the finer arts of detailing, but do you ever detail for members
(for a fee of course). I don't want to learn the art as I have not got the patience for it.
I normally pay someone to valet the car but you do seem to get results that I have not seen before.
I am in Nottingham so not too far from you.

                          Regards Tbart

Hi Tbart, Yes I do - I do have quite a waiting list, there's an advantage to being somewhat local to me though in case of the right weather suddenly on us, etc presenting an opportunity - I tend to favour enhancements which include a single stage machine enhancement, but can do a range of options to suit.
To be fair the guys you pay probably do a decent job for the time they spend, but people like Andy and I are spending 8, 10 plus hours and using what we consider the best equipement products to achieve the results we do, along with skills we've tried to hone over many hours/years of practice/patience - we're not buying products that will last five minutes but ones that will protect for a long time, which also means if you give your car a wash and dry it's easier to return them to the standard we achieve quite easily, although you do need to make sure you know how to wash the car correctly.....
Feel free to drop me a PM if you want to chat more.

                            Regards,
                            Clive.
