      Morning Mr P

The LSP was actually a new, 2 stage PTFE sealant product called X1 Extreme which states a 12 month protection, obviously with the correct upkeep and maintenance which I have made Daron aware of.

The full list of yesterday's proceedings consisted of:

Citrus pre rinse with Rapid Dirt Shifter for the baked on bugs
      Rinsed with jet wash
Tyres cleaned with Bilt Hamber Surfex HD and stiff brush
Wheel-arches cleaned with Bilt Hamber Surfex HD and a stiff brush
      Rinsed
Snowfoamed with Orchard Autocare Cotton Candy 1:20 ratio
Badges and gaps APCed with degreaser and detailers brush
Wheels cleaned and fall out removed using Hot Wheels Wonder Wheels and a Daytona Speedmaster alloy wheel brush
      Car and wheels rinsed
Bodywork and wheels washed using Farecla G3 detox shampoo with Carpro Merino wool mitt in 2 buckets with grit guards
      Rinsed
Clayed with Bilt Hamber clay using water spray as a lube (nothing picked up whatsoever
      De-tarred with AutoFinesse Oblitarate
Fall out removed with Carpro Iron X (a helluva lot was removed)
      Rinsed
Wheels cleaned again with foaming sprayhead and AutoFinesse Imperial wheel cleaner and detailers brush
Washed again using Farecla G3 detox shampoo with Carpro Merino wool mitt in 2 buckets with grit guards
      Rinsed
Patted dry with Chemical Guys Wooly Mammoth drying towel
Machine polished using Dodo light and then a medium pad with Scholl A15 compound to tackle some light swirls and light scratches
Wipe down with Carpro Eraser using Eurow Detailers Preference microfibre cloth
Machine polished using Meguiars microfibre cutting pad with X1 Extreme Step 1 cleaning compound and keying agent
Buffed with Eurow Detailers Preference microfibre cloth
Machine polished using Meguiars microfibre finishing pad with X1 Extreme Step 2 sealant
Buffed with Eurow Detailers Preference microfibre cloth
Tyres dressed with 2 coats of Carpro Perl
Wheels front and rear faces sealed with Nano wheel sealant
Windscreen glass sealed with GTechniq G5 hydrophobic coating
All exterior plastics protected with ValetPro Talos protectant
Exhaust tips cleaned with fine grade wire wool and Bilt Hamber Surfex HD
Exhaust tips sealed with AutoFinesse Mercury metal cream

Daron happy with result; me happy that Daron is happy with result.

I think I would have melted to a puddle if I'd tried yesterday mate, considering a clean tonight if I get back from work at a decent time and it's cooled down enough.... Only need to do the outside and hopefully won't need lots of polish as I did that last time out

If it's not too grubby which it may not be in this weather then why not try a QD wipedown with a plush mf cloth? This will rejuvenate the work you did last time and save you the hassle of buckets of water and shampoo and drying etc.

If it is grubby, bugs on the front end etc, use a pre rinse on them, AF Citrus Power or Demon Shine Rapid Dirt Shifter (can also do a spray around the rest of the car then a jet wash rinse.

Daron can certainly vouch for the effective shifting power of the much cheaper Rapid Dirt Shifter.

A good QD is AF Finale or Zaino Z6. Many are available but these 2 are my favourite go-to QDs. Always a bottle of at least one in my car at all times with a plush deep pile mf cloth. Can also be used at the drying stage to aid drying and to add shine and a little protection at the same time.

Unfortunately it's quite dusty mate and also has some dirt splashes on the side panels from when it rained

I will look at the QD's you recommended though as I wouldn't mind giving those a try, any preference ? I don't have a plush MF cloth, the 20 or so I have are good but not plush.... Roll on payday

                            Lol

The sealant applied is a PTFE coating ala Teflon non stick pans so hopefully the flies and bugs will be a lot easier to get off. Also driving your THP everywhere at 20mph would also help

                            Lifted from the manufacturers website:

There are other PTFE car polish paint protection systems out there but this one contains a really high level of PTFE Sealant (nearly 12%!!) and Advanced Acryloplexin substances – more than all others out there – meaning ultimate protection. Other car polishes and waxes do not contain protective polymers.
Technology Proven In Space Radar Systems Used In Car Polish Protection
From technology proven in the space industry (i.e. radar systems where standards are extremely high) comes a paint protection system guaranteed to protect your car’s paintwork for up to 5 years and produce a showroom shine for way longer than available polishes and waxes. You don’t have to pay extortionate fees to the car dealers anymore – this technology is now available to the general public so that YOU can EASILY apply it yourself.

This new car polish/paint protector contains a really high level of PTFE sealant (Polytetrafluoroethylene) – nearly 12%!! This, in a nutshell, offers very high protective qualities. Other available car polishes and car waxes out there offer VERY LITTLE protection and maybe a shine that lasts only a few weeks.

What exactly is PTFE? You must know of Teflon and the “non stick” properties that Teflon gives to our saucepans?
This amazing property is the same one that gives X1 Shine and Seal it’s power and uniqueness – you are effectively curing a solid protective film over your paintwork which will repel grime and dirt particles sticking to it. This means only one thing – super protection from all the elements!!

What Does This Mean For You and Your Car?

Your car is most probably the second biggest investment in your life so why not protect your paintwork against ALL the elements. Protect your paintwork from all the corrosive elements – UV, pollution, acid rain (sulphuric and nitric acid), bugs, salt, exhaust gases, and snow.

You can now protect your paintwork for up to 5 Years in this TWO Step X1 Shine and Seal Process and at the same time, produce an amazing, long lasting shine you have not experienced before and it’s SO EASY to do – you DO NOT have to pay the car dealers £350 so they can make a fat profit from you – you can apply this yourself for a fraction of the cost.. The dealers convince you that you should spend that extra investment to keep your car looking new and then they also tell you that it has to be applied by them as it is a tricky process and needs a trained hand . This is simply not true as it is quite the opposite. If you have every applied any polish or wax to your car, well applying this system is NO harder.

AND this paint protector and polish is within most keen car carers budget.

Waxes offer no long term protection and a short lived shine and we all know that waxes melt and break down and when they do, it leaves a sticky finish attracting all the dirt, grime and corrosive materials that you are trying to avoid in the first place. This results in slow paint deterioration.

The X1 Shine & Seal paint protection system (5 Year Protection System) is the only system that we know of that creates a solid hard and long lasting film on the paint surface repelling all foreign materials such as dirt and grime for a long time.

                            Andy
