Not used that pal but a very good make at a good price. Dressings will fling onto the paintwork due to too much being applied or if the tyre wasn't properly cleaned prior to application.

Tyre dressings need to be on as clean a tyre as possible with no "old" dressings evident.

My tip for application is to lightly apply one coat onto a DRY tyre with a sponge applicator then 30-60 minutes later rub tyre again with the same sponge applicator but this time without any tyre dressing applied to the sponge or a clean, dry mf cloth. Leave again for a good 30-60 minutes before driving.

I think my problem is overkill with the product thinking more the better but i guess it does not always work this way lol.

This stuff is good as you get a sponge supplied with it, which has a channel in the middle to give you the right amount of product, i just previously have applied extra (probably where i am going wrong)

It is defenaitely worth £5, the gel lasts along time!

I took a picture but it isnt the best

You cant clean a car without dressing the tyres. Unwritten detailing rule.
Less is most definitely more with detailing products.
Next time try using a lot less than you have been doing and see how you get on. Keep me updated pal

Never said they were meant to be did I? Apologies if I did. I said tyres should be dressed.

Anyway I thought personal choices and preferences were allowed. Just the same as someone plasti-wrapping bits of their car or lowering the front end or sticking decals everywhere??

            Each to their own.

Th worst thing is when car dealers spray that silicone shit all over the dashboard.

                      No problemo pal

Speaking of liking/not liking shiny tyres, I scrubbed the Power Maxed off my tyres yesterday and replaced with Carpro PERL (Plastics, Engine, Rubber, Leather)

After 70 miles this morning including a trip to Clean Your Car in Huddersfield, they now look like this

PERL is a great, versatile product that can be diluted making it very economical. Also great on the black trim under the sills and the black diffuser under the rear bumper.

Tried the Power Maxed Tyre Dressing again this week.

This is it applied on Tuesday

This is it today after 350 dry miles of road and motorway driving. Alloys dirtier but dressing is still there and after washing car today, beaded the water sprayed onto the tyre very well.

Lasted a hell of a lot better than the previous application which was driven during wet weather.

I've been using the Autoglym Instant Tyre Dressing with very much mixed results. If you follow the instructions and spray it directly onto the tyre it doesn't work very well at all, but I spray it onto a sponge applicator first and that makes it last a bit longer. Won't be buying it again anyway!

I have also used Autoglym Instant Tyre Dressing but with results I am happy with!

I spray it onto a Megs applicator and wipe the tyre with that, though it can then be a bit 'runny' so I use a MF cloth to smooth out.

This cleans the tyre and doesn't leave it too shiny, which is my preference. May invest in some additional tyre cleaner that Rabid has used in the future to see if it is worthwhile.

It's rare that I dress the tyres anymore but when I did, the best one I'd used was Meguiar's. AutoGlym slinged all over the place.
I've been using some Meguiar's NXT shampoo recently and that does seem to keep the tyres looking good. Not grey but not dodgy diamond geezer shiny.

It's just that it doesn't last very long, it's worn off within a week!
