Does the 6-speed-gear lever sit higher in the car than the 5-speed gear lever?
Finally got the chrome trim around the gear lever..the part that i REEEEAAAALLY wanted since I got the car..SInce day 1!!got it today,removed the glossy trim,replaced the plastic with the "chrome" and try to put everything back...leather's plastic base is bigger than the opening of the chrome bit but the worst of all......................2nd,4th and reverse wont move!!!

What do you mean it won't go into gear? Changing a gear knob wouldn't cause this.

You need to make the image public, seem to be set as private.

yes the car's engine is running and the clutch is fully used.I believe that one way to overcome the "gear wont go in" problem is to change the pivot point of the lever if thats possible..otherwise I have to cut the chrome bit which i believe means ruining it

I think he's just changed the surround.
