How do you find the heman hud?
Does it give any other info than speed (eg distance travelled)
      How is it powered?

Powered by 12v adapter ( cigarette lighter) think it's speed only with an alarm feature you can set at any speed you chose..
I wouldn't be without mines now..

Do you have to do anything to route the cable from the 12v so the pupils don't grab it when they grab the handbrake?

No it's a long cable and easy to route around , have never had a pupil yet whom has had any problem.

Had my DS3 for 18months, my findings so far...

Day 1, n/s fog light on... replaced fuse board.

month 2, knocking noise from n/s/f

Month 7, first and only wheel kerbed *touch wood* Was on a test so had no control and the examiner let the chap drive straight into the bloody kerb

month 10, finally replaced the top mount - cured knocking noise!

month 18, middle air vent stopped closing off - linkage had popped off!

Other than those few niggles the car has been 100%, my students love it and So would I if it were just a tad faster haha!
I have the rod HeMan controls - I did have the option of cables though! The HUD did come with it, but have never used it, I just either rely on my instincts or use my sat nav (no cables!).

The positioning of the 12v socket is a tad annoying but I'm used to it now! The teeny glove box is also a PITA but hey. I might have a look at an aero box, but tbh I'm pretty happy with 45+mpg while teaching, regularly get 55mpg when I drive.... i.e thrashing the bejesus out of it to keep it running nicely. So overall I'm quite happy.

Mine goes back in March, I am seriously considering getting another one, but a DSport Blue Hdi this time so it'll have a little more poke!

                      New aero sign arrived today.
Early signs of mpg improvement are good. Was 55.3mpg with the old sign. So far today 58.8mpg with the new sign. Will report back in a couple of weeks as to how the mpg is going over a slightly longer period.
If those figures are right should save me about £140 per year. Cost of sign was £117.

I got the sign from pmn ltd. They actually make the signs.
Pricing is a little sketchy in as much as they sell them on ebay cheaper than on their site. But you need to buy from them directly (not ebay) to get the printing.
The ebay price for blank sign (with just red ls) is I think £85 inc carriage and then I paid them £30 extra for the graphics.

                              Hi,

Just ordered a DS3 Cabrio DStyle 1.6 e-hdi 90 Airdream for teaching in. I've gone for Ruby Red with a black roof, a white dashboard, and the auto signature pack which gives climate, auto wipers and lights, and the active city stop which might come in handy!! This will be the second Citroen I've had for teaching in, as my first tuition car was an AX GT back in 1994!

My last 5 cars have been Peugeot convertibles (two 307cc's and three 308cc's). I was really pleased with them, particularly the visibility to the side as no 'B' pillars. I'm sad to be changing (they are ending production) but excited to be getting a DS3 Cabrio. I've never had a problem not being able to see the speedo from the passenger side, you soon get used to judging quite accurately, and haven't used a top box since switching to convertibles. There seem to be more and more schools round here ditching the top box. It's a shame SatNav is such an expensive option, I've found it quite handy on my Peugeot and it came as standard on my current one - I guess toward the end of the model cycle they have to spec it up a bit to keep competitive.

I look forward to joining the DS3 Instructor crowd!

Lessons with the roof down sounds quite appealing now!

Edit: do they have to be hard top convertibles?
