A623/A619 between Chapel and Chatsworth A mighty little road no matter what your driving..used to be my own personnal race track 5am Monday mornings driving to lincoln from Stockport.

The A686 from Haydon Bridge to Penrith is pretty special too.
a great route for me from carlisle is A69 to brampton then pick the B6318 a few miles past the town and follow hadrians wall just before you hit collerford take the B6319 to haydon then the A686 to penrith then another straight roman road the A6 back to Carlisle great run with plenty to see.
i remember seeing somewhere that the run from penrith to haydon was voted top drive in Britain
there are some vids on youtube of the A686 but hate to put the link up as its a miniCrisis wot Crisis

I did the EVO triangle with a mate in an Lotus Exige 240 a couple of weeks back. Bloody brilliant. Stayed a couple of nights in a B&B not far from Betws-y-Coed. Most of the roads around the Snowdonia area are excellent. Thoroughly recommend it!
