More or less constant and NOT when cornering. Strangely it seems to get less as the journey to Macc (30 miles) progresses.

Hmm interesting one. If it was wouldn't the noise be constant instead of mostly when going over bumps?

Not always, my mate had it in his old car where it would make noise only when he turned left.

Definitely worth checking if they've not been changed before.

Due to having old cars the last 6 years I've had 4 wheel bearing failures in the in the last 3 years (two different cars) and they never went the same way twice. On my swift it used to emit a high pitched squeak/rattle when turning left at speed which I thought was the front corner (and ignored if I'm honest), however 2 years later rear bearing starts to moan, I change it..squeak/rattle disappears as well. Second one didn't make any noise but the whole car shook at ahem miles an hour. I won't go through all 4!

It may not be a wheelbearing but it would appear they've gone through the other possible suspects already.

Better get them checked. After all they have done nearly 80,000 miles!

Well the ones on my swift lasted 45 and 70k...the ones on the micra went one after the other around 83k, so I'd say your in the ball park for it.

I was told it was the front wheels/tyres juddering, which seemed far fetched/unlikely to me, but when I had my new wheels and winter tyres fitted recently , it's gone away completely, so there may well be something in it.....

I had this as well, my front Michelin's were just about on the markers, sure enough when the new ones were fitted I no longer experienced the judder when reversing on full lock
