Damn those pesky learner drivers; charging up batteries and moving air & water around the car! They're to blame for all this squealing!!!

Edit: Just realised you're not the OP who hates learner drivers.

That being said though, if it is belt squeal you're hearing(which I haven't encountered on any of the hundreds/thousands of DS3's I've seen) you now have a few potential sources of the noise.
