Only real difference would be if you were doing extended braking, such as going down a huge hill (and had not put the engine in a lower gear) or thrashing the hell out of it on a track day.
Then the drums would heat up quite a bit - and not be able to dissipate the heat as well as a disk would.
Not really anything to worry about under normal use.
Required brake pedal force for drums/disk when they're not (glowing red from hooning) should be mostly the same.
Oh and with drums, you probably don't have to clean the brake dust off the rims nearly as often.
