totally disagree on that little zack! I test drove the A1 and loved it. The only problem, is the price 15k for a base 1.6tdi with a bit of accessories, i couldn't justify that.

On the petrol vs diesel front, i do 20k a year so a no brainer for me! the way fuel prices are going you need to think of mpg unless you are a young single person with no responsibilities that lives with parents then in that case, enjoy your 30mpg THP

I'm in the same boat. I think I'll almost certainly be going diesel (the whole point of me switching my SLK 230 Kompressor was for the best MPG in a stylish package), but will miss driving a petrol. The question for me is which one -99g or 90bhp DStyle or 110bhp DSport. Test driving all 3 back-to-back this weekend (have already had a go in the 90 & 110bhp's) to see if I can reach a conclusion.

90bhp all black/white are best value. 110 is best car. Ther rest is up to you.

We have the 110 hdi and love it! Okay the THP is faster from 0-60 but in the real world who does 0-60 all the time - noone! What you do is a lot of 30-60 driving in high gears and thats where the HDi is king as it has all that lovely TORQUE!!!!
