I have used the same Citroen dealership for all my Citroen purchases and some non Citroen. I have my DS3 from new and had one fault, wind chatter on passenger door seal. It is now a Arnold Clark and is in Stirling. Never had any issue with warranty on my other purchases and the DS3 was the same with the wind whistle.

I am not saying they are better than anyone else but they have never let me down in there previous dealership or under the Arnie franchise. But car sales are all down to each purchasers deal and servicing and I cannot say a wrong thing about them in their dealings with myself.

I would recommend my local dealer Palmers of Watford, I bought my C2 from them, it was second hand about 18 months old. After picking it up I noticed that the cover inside the lower half of the tailgate was missing, I went back and they quickly found another cover and then discovered that my car didn't have the holes for the securing clips, apparently for about 6 months Citroen stopped fitting the cover, anyway they whipped the car into the workshop and drilled the necessary holes. A month or so later I noticed the drivers door rubber seal had started to rip, took the car in, they inspected it and then booked the car in for a new seal to be fitted no questions asked. The salesman I originally dealt with emailed me several times after I bought the car to see how everything was. I have used them for servicing the car and always find the staff very helpful.

I ordered a DS3 Racing through them last September and was expecting to take delivery before the end of this month, however there have been delays and the car is not expected before the end of the month when my C2's MOT was due, I have just got back from Palmers where they have MOT'd the C2 for me free of charge.

This is the only Citroen dealer I have ever dealt with and would certainly recommend them to anyone looking to buy a Citroen.

I would NEVER reccomend Palmers in Watford as it was them that told me that Citroens were crap and they charged me in excess of 1.5K to fix my car when they failed to do so. absolute twats

I have to say that from reading these posts, how you are treated when in a dealership does have a massive effect wether you will be buying a car from that particular place.

Before i got my DS3 i was searching around dealerships and i can safely say only 2 of the 5 actually treated me well.

I ended up with Palmers Citroen in Watford as they helped me loads and were not afraid to come down in price for what i wanted. Brilliant cheerful salesmen, friendly service and a fair chunk off of the original price helps a lot to getting a sale lol!

Well I have to say i am happy with Citroen Glasgow the salesman I've had has been straight up since day one and that's everything signed and tried everything to get a little bit extra off here and there. Been trying to push the deal through as quickly and smoothly as possible and because of that I get my car 2 weeks earlier than expected (as I wasn't supposed to be in the June build).

I don't think it is very fair to insult a salesman when you cannot get a discount though, especially when they are offering £1500 on new petrol engines and now £250 on the diesel engine - although when I got mine it was £500.

I will add however my first experience at that dealership was not the best when I got my C2 but the guy who sold me my GT was a complete twat all round and told me my mg zr which was 4 years old and had 30000 miles on the clock was worth £1750 - someone else called me back half an hour later and offered 3500.

Barclays in Warrington has been excellent so far. From the sale through to delivery they were superb. Have not had to contact them relating to any warranty issues yet, fingers crossed i will never have to.
THey couldnt match the best discount i could get online, but the personal touch and the human interaction made me go though them. Hopefully it will pay off if any warranty issues arise.

Which salesman did you deal with? Mine was Neil, although I did speak with most of them at some point during my 7 month wait for the car.

James came in on his day off to have a look at my car when it arrived, and did the hand over the next day as it was Neils day off. They took a couple of pics of the hand over and James emailed them to me the next day

I've bumped into James in Asda car park a few times and the first thing he asks about is the car

Lol bless him! I actually work in the same office as his mum! It was only when i told her about the car after my 3rd visit to Palmers did she realise that it was her son i was talking about lol!!

Hes so sweet love him. He was constantly talking to the manager to get prices off of X Y & Z for me. Absolute legend
