Freezing on the inside

I have a question and want to know if others have had the same thing. I've a 63 plate ds3 airdream. It seems to suffer from excessive condensation. On a really cold day the whole inside of the windscreen is frozen almost like it is on the outside and I have to wait 10 mins for the inside to defrost, or like tonight it hadn't frozen yet but was so much condensation again wiping it wouldn't do so had to wait forever for it to clear... it's not that cold though as none of my neighbours with other cars have this issue 😣 maybe it's just me as my silly mini used to do that but that Deff had sealant problems...

I've ordered a condensation catcher thing which I'm hoping helps. But am wondering is this just a thing or should I ask the dealer to check my seals?

What setting is your air con on? In car only or external circ?

Another thing to check could be the grommets each side of the bonnet. Under each wheel arch to the top towards the bonnet it should be a tight seal. Did you run any cables here for your sub?

As Joni says check the seals and the top of the struts for rubbish which can cause problems.

The other thing to do is check the floor for dampness and the spare wheel well to make sure you don't have a leak. Also on winter days put some old newspaper under rubber mats to catch moisture.

As for the condensation catcher don't bother buying one, get an old sock and fill it with cat litter and place that on the dash. Does the same thing.

You can get to that area from the front of that honey comb grille.

Bonnet up and it will lift away enough from the seal to get your hand in there to clear it out. Probably will come off all the way but I didn't want to try it and not be able to get it back on as it was before.

Have you had the pollen filter changed yet? This can also attract dampness which the fan system sucks into the cabin causing condensation on the UK inside. Also check your boot for any dampness in and around the wheel well.

Also check the floor around the footwells just incase one of the bungs in the floor panels is letting in water. These bungs are a press fit and should be sealed, but can become damaged over time from debris on the road.

Ill check those areas on mine, the last 2 days I've had the same problem with windows being frozen on the inside.

Whe do you find that rubber bung you have in your hand. Ive removed the grill can see the hole but thers no debris at all yet still getting the freezing on the inside?
