    Pilot sport 3s are good..
I took my mx5 on a car Control / drift day and with pilot sport 3s on It was hard work getting the back to kick out. Had to have foot on the floor and hard lock. They're also good in the wet, can drive quick still and that's with rwd!

Gonna throw in something that hasn't been mentioned and possibly overlooked.. Avon ZZ5's
        http://www.blackcircles.com/catalogu...&tyre=33855334

Great tyres i had them as a front set and they gripped extremely well in all conditions except snow but rain, hail, brimstone and sweltering heat...
not expensive either. Only negative is wear, they wear really fast i had mine on for about a year before i traded it in and they just about 1.8/2mm tread left after a year so they weren't slicks but not far off.

There is a ZV7 now which looks great, the ratings are top and they are cheaper than most tyres ... I will review when i get them.
        Bwaaahhhhhh and Pshhttt erryday!

            Yes

Decide the maximum and minimum price you are willing to pay per tyre.

Decide your priority between Performance, Road noise and economy.

Pick five tyres that fall within your price range that adhere to your first (highest) priority
            Then
Pick three tyres from that five that fit the second priority.
            Then
Pick two tyres from that three that fit your final priority.
            Then
            Come back on here

If you are looking for premium mid range tyres (I.e. not an eco but not a sports tyre).

Then the tyres that came 1st and 2nd in this are around 90-95 quid in a 17.

Michelin Pilot Sport 3 have been great on mine, the rears are still the originals (diesel engine and fwd makes the fronts go quicker) but I'm on my second set on the front. Great grip in wet and dry, not noisy and reasonably long lived for the grip they give.

Shop around though as initial prices can be well over £100 from Citroen dealers but I picked the last two up at £80 each.
