Yes you can pay more off at any given time but it does not effect your interest amount or terms. All that happens is you reduce the total amount payable.

I'm looking for a bit advice from people that have used PCP type finance deals before. I have been looking at getting a DS3 Dsport THP on Elect 3 and can't decide what term to get it over.
The standard length seems to be 3 years but I may want to change to another car (maybe DS4!) after maybe 2 or 2.5 years so would I be better off going for a shorter term or is it pretty easy to switch out early of a 3 year scheme and if you do are they any early settlement fees?

You can get it over 2 years but you'll probley pay more... Or get it over 3 Yeats m change in 2 but you'll loose your depoisit n have to put more money down for the new car and start again.

              I suggest that you read the Elect 3 leaflet...see link . http://www.citroen.co.uk/Resources/C...nce/elect3.pdf

There appears to be several periods that you can opt for (25, 31 & 37 months) and if I'm reading it correctly there are penalties for early get-out

PCP is best when you run to the end and then change your car, if you settle early remember that you have the GFV to clear as well before you are released from your agreement. If you plan to change your car in 2 years then pay more and have a 2 year PCP as you will save money in the long run.

With the DS3 you may be in the position that your car will clear the finance but don't bank in it and also DON'T put in a large deposit, £2000 max as you will never draw enough out at the other end and if you don't have money to put in again it will become rather expensive next time around.

If you have any questions then feel free to PM me.

Traded in my celica for £3000 leaving 12k left to pay, paid £500 up front and the rest over 36 months. 35 x £350 and a final £285, then the THP is all mine!

Add a couple of hundred quid on to the total as it got keyed yesterday so a paint job is imminent...
