The gas is in a closed loop, so doesn't get used through use. It just happens to leak out over time, pretty much regardless how you use it... Most probably worse if you don't use it at all... Tbh

I'm the other way round... The display doesn't look full with whole numbers... 🙈 lol

Great info. Thanks Syops. I've been using my AC in this weather obviously, but even though I know you can use it for demisting and warm use, I was always concerned I was "wasting" it. I did make sure I used it once a month to keep it functioning correctly. Now I know I don't need to be so tight with it!!!

How do you people know that the auto function is working properly?

I usually put mine in Auto mode, target 20 with outside temp of around 22°C or 23°C (and feeling warm inside) and the fan doesn't seem to "move fast" in order to reach the desired temp, I often have to lower the number to 15 or 14 to force it cool faster...

My guess is the auto function has a target time to reach your desired/set temperature, rather than get there as quick as possible. That way the fan noise and comfort levels are balanced... ish...

Keep in mind that not using the AC in the winter will create mold in the system. Even when you're asking for 30 degrees it sometimes enables the ac pump just to get air that's more dry.
Always having the ac off is a nono...

It rains in the winter too. So my AC gets a blast 😊 Plus I'm aware to give it a whoosh through every now and then.

I always need the AC to defog the windscreen in winter. Does it sooo much quicker than my old car.
