    Peeling paint

Hi all, had my DS3 serviced on Saturday and noticed afterwards white patches on my black roof. Dealer said it was bird poo.
The car has been washed approx weekly since new (Sept 2013 with approx 12000 miles on the clock).
Having looked closely and taken macro images, they definitely do not look like bird poo shape.
1 is approx 2 cm across and the rest (at least a dozen) range from 1 to 2 mm's. They are on the main roof and the spoiler.
Taking it to the dealer on Weds to see what they say.
Surely as far as trading standards are concerned, the roof paint is not fit for purpose. (I assume it is paint, although some info on the net says the roofs are vinyl wraps).
    Any advice will be appreciated.
    Thanks.
    Debbie

Could be paint chips caused by grit thrown up, I've got a small chip on my roof at the front.

I must admit I have a couple on my roof. Blue showing through the black. Looks like the paint hasn't bonded properly.

Unless you've been told otherwise at purchase (assumes the dealer didn't do it as a special for some reason) the standard roof colours are all painted and not wrapped.

Sounds similar to mine, does it look like lots of water marks under the black paint.

I don't own my DS3 any longer, but the one thing I complained to the dealer about when collecting the car (brand new) was circular water mark looking etched in marks on the black roof.

I spent a couple of hours with my various pastes and polishes trying to remove the marks. I reduced their appearance so they were only slightly visible in certain light and angle.

The dealer was happy to get it sorted but I didn't fancy a brand new car having a spray job as no doubt they wouldn't remove the screen etc.

                  I don't know, why ?

Are you in a hot country ? Is it out in direct sunlight a lot ? Have you applied any cleaning products that might have caused the fading ?

Starting to think the problem is getting bigger between paint bubbles , rust and roof paint now showing up problems. Definitely a quality control problem . Come on citroen step it up as the ds3 is a good car but you are letting yourselves down by the shoddy quality.

My paint was fading too when I got it I just used some auto glym super resin polish as it protects & is slightly abrasive I used a farecla g3 white waffle pad from Halfords about £10 then sealed it with a top coat came up a treat (the pad was black by the time I was finished) lol
