Seeing those pictures just goes to prove how well designed & built the DS3 is, the fact that the only injury you received was whiplash proves how much safer cars are these days. Hopefully now that the car has been assessed & written off the insurance company will pay you out quickly. I also think if it had been repairable I wouldn't feel happy driving it knowing what had happened to it.
DS3 Racing, also available in White!!!

Shows how good the crash protection is ahead of the windscreen, though I'd rather I never have to find out for myself.

Aye i was impressed by how well it held up to the collision.....not that impressed to do it a second time though. At the time of the accident i wasn't really focused that much on the state of the car and seeing it today really brought home how much safer modern cars are and to have just walked away with whiplash from the collision is a testament to this fact.
As for the insurance i'll get a replacement new DS3 as it's under 1 year old with my policy and they will aim to recover all costs from the other numpty drivers insurance. It maybe difficult to source another "white" edition according to my local dealer so they may offer a settlement instead, i'm happy either way tbh as apart from the annoying rattles i rather liked the DS3.

It's at a repair/salvage centre in cheshire but i won't have access to any parts from it, would also depend on what category write off it will be when the repair place do whatever they do with it once i have my new car/settlement.

The clio driver has now admitted full liability ......just found out from the dealers that i'd have to wait 3 months for a new 90hdi dstyle plus though (direct replacement for the white and black special editions) if i go for the option of replacement through the insurance.....................suppose i'll have to see what options the insurance assessor gives me.

Aye this is the second time in 14 years that I've got away with hardly any injuries, had a similar accident in 1997 (on the same road as well lol) on my Suzuki rgv250 when an old duffer pulled out in front of me and i hit the car, i did a superman impression over the top and landed in a heap in the middle of the road. I was more lucky that time due to it being a motorbike accident as i only got bruises and the inability to walk properly for a week or so due to me crushing the bikes fuel tank with "delicate bits and upper thigh" before going airborne.....still remember that accident as if it was yesterday.
As for my DS3 i would say it will be a category b or c write off and it will prolly be offloaded to a salvage outfit when it's all sorted, i have an idea who may end up getting it if goes for salvage as where it's at the mo are just the insurance appointed repairers.
Also asked for a swap for the vauxhall Insignia hire car yesterday as it was just too damn big to park in my small parking area lol....not as plush as the insignia but a damn sight easier to get parked lol

Oh My God! That's a proper bump you've had!! And I thought my 2 bumps were bad! Lol
Like everyone else has been saying just goes to show how safe the DS3 is.
Hope you get your insurance sorted soon. And remember to claim for your injuries. I've claimed for my Whiplash from my second accident (rear end shunt) and I'm on my 6th private physio session.

The insurance bods have authorised a replacement for me now, a dstyle plus 90 e-hdi....not as though i really want the the new e-hdi 90 but it's a better deal than going for a settlement. Just got to decide if i want the no cost option to me of white again or the Belle Ille Blue or sport yellow but that would involve a contribution from me......hmmmmmm
