A chrome DS3!!

So most of know about this rather silver DS3, some have been spotted as promo cars and some are for sale.

As the DP of Worleys I thought I would give you some information behind the Chrome wrap that we have completed on the DS3. It has been done as a marketing tool and will be registered in the next few days as a demo. It does need constant cleaning when in the showroom but as long as it shines when its on the road and gets people asking what it is then it will be doing its intended job.

Insurance query:

But it has ended up becoming rather a burden.
Ian Grice paid £30,000 for a chrome-plated Mini Cooper as a Valentine's gift for his wife Toni.
But to the couple's dismay, they cannot even get the new car off their drive to show it off.

He was given a week's free insurance so he could drive it back to their home in Greasley, Notts.
But now insurance firms are refusing to give the couple cover.

Mr Grice, a father of two, said: 'They say it's too fragile and it'll get scratched and scuffed too easily.'
He added that it was a 'striking' car and that 'if you look at the body you see your reflection perfectly.'
A spokesman for the Association of British Insurers told The Sun: 'It could be a target for thieves.'

Imagine driving that beast on a bright shiny summers day. Awesome.

Not sure I could keep it clean enough to do it justice - especially as my little one likes to write her name in the condensation on the side of the car! But you would certainly stand out from the rest.

I saw a chrome wrapped BMW 6 series convertible in Leeds yesterday. It looked absolutely hideous - probably the tackiest car I've ever seen!

Let me be the first to say...what an absolute MUG!


As an advertising tool I think the chrome DS3s are pretty good cos they do draw attention to the car but anyone who buys any chrome car is a bit of a willy.


telephoneman, I see your 6-series and raise you the McLaren SLR that I've seen once in Bolton and once in Manchester. The reg plate was something like "F4 NCY" which the driver (someone told me it was a MCFC player) also needs a slap for. "You can take the boy out of the council estate..."

Try going to Dubai, they actually plate cars in precious metals- there's even a platinum plated McMerc and a Gold Plated Lambo there and yes- they look absolutely hideous
