I just dont know!

I can get a new Audi through work on the staff scheme, pay very little and until now i've never fancied any of the models available BUT...

Now they've added the new A1 Black Edition with either the 2.0 143ps TDi or the 185ps S-Tronic TFSI

Its got loads of kit, just dont know 1st whether i could live with a diesel, or 2nd whether i could live with an automatic, albeit the S-Tronic (fastest gearchange on any road car, same as VAG DSG box)

The main thing is could i sell the DS after only having it 6 weeks!! I know you lot will be biased but just undecided

Wow that will be the quickest sale in history! not biased but looked at the A1 for my learners and didn't like it, plus the extras to make it look good were too expensive. So it's a no from me.

I dont plan to keep the DS for more than 7 or 8 months anyways, but didnt plan on getting rid so soon!

Only you can make the choice, I guess it comes down to the finances and that's why you are thinking about it.

Didn't like the A1, that's why I didn't get one, but I know I could get passed that if the financial aspect was good enough in these times

They're about as reliable as a DS3 THP!

If mine doesn't get fixed I'm in two minds whether to simply reject it and walk away and go and buy an Audi S5.

I think the A1s are smart little cars. But I've never seen a bloke drive one. It's alway been middle aged women with too much money thinking that they look 'cool' & 'sporty' and 'hip'.

The DS3 knows what it is - a fun little roadster.
The Audi A1 in my opinion is striving for upper level of 'class' that no small car should strive for. It's a bit of nothing car. I agree with the sentiments that if it's no an S class, it's not worth it.

The reason I still own my car is because it's in a garage being fixed for the 7th week running and I am in the middle of dealing with te legality of rejecting it. If I simply sold it now I'd lose over 7k

I am still on here because I am trying to find as much information from others about how their cars are failing to strengthen my case and more importantly if the cars are improving as more problems come to light.
