Plasticstuds have become detatched anyone else had this problem if so how was it fixed

  • #2
Have the studs become detached from the mat or the floor carpet ?

Mine came loose from the floor carpet, several times I managed to get them reattached but they always seemed to work loose again. In the end I bought replacement fixings from Citroen and used those, they were fiddly to get tightly attached but they were still going strong when I traded the car in.

How on earth did you manage to comment inside lfc's post? That's a new feature I haven't seen or worked out how to do!

Isn't that just him recalling a similar issue he had? Not the op replying to the question posed...

Or are you fishing and just caught me? ... lol

It was posted after the reply, the post number is 2.1, not 3, and is the OP's reply.

I just can't see the button which would allow you to do that, nor have I seen anyone else do it yet on the new site.

Prestige members had this permission enabled.

I've just disabled this now whilst I discuss the consensus with Joni

Shows as just #2 and looks like it's all yours to me... But I am viewing this through the tapatalk app, so i must not see the same as you both.

Has anyone tried to fit these two parts can't see how it can be done without removing the carpet but feel the washer is too small & the fixing will pop through again any advice

Have you got pictures of the part and the hole it needs to go in? I'm not familiar with them but would assume they're on a simple push clip

The holes in the actual floor carpet on mine elongated and I had a new front carpet under warranty.

But if you can pop the door door trim off you can get your hand underneath to hold the underside while you reattach the top part.

Yes Ben S , it is a simple push together but you need to get access to push together under the carpet , will now see if I can as suggested find how the door trim is removed

Thanks Ben , I realise the principal okay but it requires access to under the carpet a great design feature eh ! If you know how to remove the trim that would be great thanks & a Good New Year to you
