If your car had the paint inspection at the 4 year service, Citroen should cover it. If not, you're probably out of luck unless you can get them to do it as a good will gesture. You can check your service book for the stamp but Citroen don't remind people that the check is needed.

Yep I fell foul of this one recently. Citroën just point blank refused to do the 4 year paint inspection when I asked for it later than its 4 year service as I hadn't seen it in my service book. They don't remind you either as "the onus is on the owner to ask for it". Funny how Citroën can remind you about services and MOT's, but not the paint inspection. To me it's just a way of wangling out of sorting out any of the paint imperfections owners may get in the future, as it's an extra cost they would need to cover. Lesson learned. Check your service books regularly!!!

Hello. Has anyone had any positive replies from Citroen yet?
I bought my. 63 reg DS3 a month ago from Edinburgh Arnold Clark, After reading on this forum about any faults to look out for checked but no visible rust on the car. But about 10 days ago noticed blistering under the mirror which has now turning to rust, took it back today to ask them to repair it which they declined to do owing to the age and amount of miles it’s done. Wouldn’t dare accuse anyone of covering it over to sell it.

Mine is also 2013 and the rust is really bad and they won't repair as out of the 5 yr warranty

not sure you will get anywhere with Citroen for rust on cars that are years old
