Hi, I've bought a 1.4 ds3, coming down from a 2L rav 4. I do a 60 mile round trip to work plus I do work mileage. I tend to only do 5 miles a day on an A road and the rest on B roads as I am an 'enthusiastic' driver and think sticking to the B roads will reduce my fuel consumption. What are people's thoughts on this?

My mpg drops dramatically when I do a B-road blast - but trundling along B-roads at a steady 55 (if you can - it's impossible around here because of tractors and numpties) should give decent mpg if there's not too much stopping & starting (although not as good as a steady 55 on a dual carriageway)
