Brodit Phone Mounts - Anyone using one?

Hi there,

I've got a Brodit mount system in my current car, and was looking to use the same holder again in my DS3...

So is anyone using one? And recommendations on which ProClip? Looks like there's 3 possible mounting positions for the DS3 - Challenge with all 3 looks to be access to power though

I have the dash mounted one which can be seen here with the holder for my old HTC HD2, this has now been replaced with a holder for a TomTom Via Live. The phone holder is now mounted on the Angled mount ( middle of the 3 in your link ). I haven't got any pics of the new mount or holder, but could take some tomorrow if it will help. As for the power supply, I've used a 4 way adapter which is positioned in the space below the stereo, the cable to the phone holder tucks out of the way, the TomTom one runs up in front of the stereo, but doesn't bother me. I've been using Brodit mounts for over 10 years now and always recommend them when people ask about phone holders for their cars.

Cheers for that... Strangely enough I had a HD2 prior to my current Sensation, and have had a Brodit mount for both models, so would agree that they're great mounts for the car...
Out of the 3, I think the mount by the stereo is probably my preferred... Does it get in the way with front seat passengers?

The one above the dash screen seems to obscure the screen a bit too much for my liking, though the Sensation one is shallower on the bottom than the HD2 variant due to the side charging...
Also looks like more of a pain to cable, what with the cable hanging down over the centre console...

Depends on the size of the phone holder, where you position it on the mount & the size of your passenger. I had ds3adi in the car when I went round the track at FCS recently, it got in the way of his right knee a little bit, but then he his quite tall with long legs, so you should be alright with a normal passenger

Think I'll wait to order until I've sat in the car a bit more and worked out what is and isn't within easy reach
And if you've got some pics of the new spot in the mean-time, that'd be great

Very unlikely, most modern cars have cup holders so it would be a very small market for them. You could always make your own holder & use one of the mounts
