This reminds me of a joke...

"My wife just rang to say that the bloke from Autoglass has just been round and injected his resin into her crack. I'm not normally suspicious, but I've got the car today!"

Unlucky dude, I had a chip on my old car from all the motorway driving I do, if it's gonna happen it will lad. On that note though, might be worth getting Autoglass to have a look, repair might be free as well on your insurance.

Really bad luck mate. I've already picked up a big stonechip - they're unavoidable on the roads around here. It's too big for Autoglass to repair, but unlike yours it's not in direct line of sight so I'll probably leave it until MOT time and get the screen replaced then (unless the frost gets into it first and cracks the screen, which is always a risk).

                damnnnnnn, thats a bitch man.

Someone has to invent a bloody invisible shield so stones never even get close to the windscreen.

Was hint by a stone the second week I had mine, and because it was close to the edge it cracked the screen straight away....

Oh and autoglass dont have DS3 screens in stock had to order from a dealer to replace mine.

Is it my imagination, or are the screens less resistant to chipping than some others? I was forever getting stones against the screen in my Seat, but they rarely left more than a pin-prick, whereas in the DS3 every stone seems to leave a definite chip.

Like a glass screen in front of the glass screen?

Like a windscreen, but not a windscreen? A stonescreen?

But then you'd need a screen to stop the stonescreen getting chipped. A stonescreen-screen?

But then you'd need a...........ad infinitum

Did it on Saturday on my way to Leek, some frigger in a van kicked the stone up at me.

Windscreen guys have been out today and said they can't repair it and I need a replacement. £65 excess
