This reminds me of a joke...
"My wife just rang to say that the bloke from Autoglass has just been round and injected his resin into her crack. I'm not normally suspicious, but I've got the car today!"
Unlucky dude, I had a chip on my old car from all the motorway driving I do, if it's gonna happen it will lad. On that note though, might be worth getting Autoglass to have a look, repair might be free as well on your insurance.

Really bad luck mate. I've already picked up a big stonechip - they're unavoidable on the roads around here. It's too big for Autoglass to repair, but unlike yours it's not in direct line of sight so I'll probably leave it until MOT time and get the screen replaced then (unless the frost gets into it first and cracks the screen, which is always a risk).

Is it my imagination, or are the screens less resistant to chipping than some others? I was forever getting stones against the screen in my Seat, but they rarely left more than a pin-prick, whereas in the DS3 every stone seems to leave a definite chip.

Like a windscreen, but not a windscreen? A stonescreen?
But then you'd need a screen to stop the stonescreen getting chipped. A stonescreen-screen?
But then you'd need a...........ad infinitum1.6 Vti White edition
