I suggested getting a footrest to the wife who freaked at the prospect of letting me loose on our new car with a screwdriver. What do you actually drive te screws into? Scared of damaging anything.

It's really easy, under the carpet is some form of hard foam and the screws go in by hand no problems !sigpicComment

No, no metal where I screwed it in, seeing other comments about the ease of fitting these I don't think mine was a fluke either
