  • MPG of the DS3...

Hi all , just wanted to know what engines up had and what Mpg you get and miles to a full tank ?

    Thanks

Try this: The big economy experiment!

I normally average 30-45mpg depending on how heavy footed I'm being (Petrol THP 155).

Miles to a full tank, anywhere between 300 and 480-ish. Again, very dependent on how heavy footed I am.

You can have a look at mine here:

My first long journey of 267 miles and it was reading 62.7mpg - not 'ran in' yet so to speak

Only had mine 10 days (130 miles) but it's at 32mpg so far. I drive like a kitten - super super soft & economical, so I shudder to think what sort of miles the "delivery mileage" was to pull the average down!

Over the last 100 miles only, it's 38mpg. That's all very urban driving - lots of stop / start, but driving very carefully.

Haven't been over 3000rpm a single time, yet!

The first miles with mine were really poor MPG
Getting over 40 now tho (1200 MILES IN)

Getting 39mpg out of my Racing since picking it up (600 miles) but did do a run up the A1 for the CCC meet at Peterborough yesterday, my wives diesel 115 is giving her 61 around town and she doesn't hang about!

I had the 90bhp before nd around town I used to get about 46 - I changed to the ds4 same 1.6hdi and was getting 31 :-0 I had issues with that so decided to go to the Dsport 1.6 115 instead so wanted to get better mpg . £57 to fill a tank what do you get off a full tank ?

I'm getting 53MPG with a mixture of Motorway and town driving with the 115 Diesel, Does it pick up after the engine has run in?

Typically 35-38mpg out of my 150 BHP and I floor her regularly (all within the limits of the law of course, I just get from 0-70 on the A38 near me quickly!)......

Work my socks off, so I don't care too much, love the thrill of the DS3 nippiness and I've had her nearly two years, a long time for me

My Sportage I'm lucky if I get over 22 mpg but that's a real workhorse for carting the dogs around in....

                        Regards.

Hmm I know we should take manufacturer mpgs with a pinch of salt, but after reading a few threads on this subject, it seems the engines get nowhere near the claimed mpg :-(

On a run doing between 70-80mph in the 110hdi I can get 66mpg, when booting it around and basically driving it how it's meant to be i'm averaging 55.4mpg Wait until the engine is run in like already mentioned and you will see better gains (if not go back!)
