  • Parking Censors...

When i was considering what to buy i drove a few cars, to mention just one the Kia Cee'd!

i have never owned a car with parking censors, on the Kia, which i was aloud to take out for ages by my self i notice when i was reversing a graphic appeared to show the distance between me and the object I'm reversing against, Like a radar i guess!

My Sport+ (which i don't collect till the 29th) doesn't have a satnav just the orange rectangle display on the centre console, so my question is...

Does it is have a visual key to the parking censors or just the beeping?

    Thanks again peeps

My DSport+ has the beeps that get more manic as you approach the obstacle. It also has an image of the car that appears on the orange screen, if you look at it you'll notice that solid bars appear behind the car, or to the side at the back and the more you get the closer you are

It depends which display you have. The low-spec monochrome display doesn't have the reversing sensor graphics - you just get an audible warning.

You'd get the picture above same spec as mine being a Dsport+

Don't understand the tiny screen. Rear windows are larger and offer more of an insight as to what is behind!

Lol I still use my windows but unlike in my Astra Sport hatch I don't worry about anything I can't see now

My sensors scare me! Never haven driven a car with them before it is quite a leap of faith to trust them. The 1st time I did it went from a relaxed beep to seemingly manic in around a few inches. Anyway I have a simple approach to parking. Park well away from kerbs (dont want scuffs on the alloys) and I always park in a quiet corner of supermarket car parks and then take up 2 spaces. I have recurrent nightmares where I return to my car to find that somebody has stoved in my door with theirs!!
