: UPDATE: just update for some of you who have wished the car well ( much appreciated) after many arguments with citroen because I had "changed the air cleaner and fitted alloy boost pipes" which apparently affected everything and was pretty much the reason the cars gone wrong :S , I took it away from them and refused to let them do it out of warranty ( cash) or put the car back to standard so they could have a look and see what was wrong , I pulled a few strings read the codes and got a reading of 2 failed ignition coils causing the faults and lumpy running. After buying 2 new ones for £50 , fitted them and................ no difference :S. on the off chance checked the plugs and low and behold 2 plugs cyl 1 and cyl 4 the sheathing had dropped over the electrode and was stopping them sparking shorting out the coils rasing the fault. so 4 plugs later £8 each ( platinum tipped) :\ and 2 coils sent back job done cars running as sweet as a nut. happy me

+ given citroen a bell and let them no that the problem had nothing to do with any mods just for future reference.

warranty and servicing runs out in November. yh if anything happens ill be going to different dealer.

How's yours going Alex

Hi ds3r, no problems so far but I haven't gunned it yet, still running the engine in. So far it has been ok, even from cold I can put my foot down and it will go, where as before it felt like the engine needed to be warm up a bit. Am off for 1.5 wks soon so will go for a good drive down the coast and see what happens. As you know I did want to mod the engine but I think am not going to now just in case this one gone tits up as well. Looking into changing the suspension for a branded setup, and changing the disc's for a set of cross drills on the front. How is your going, any more mod's planned?

Hi Alex pleased yours is ok mine is really good you may have read posts apart from bastuck exhaust I've had hangar111 sports cat and a big intecooler fitted made a big difference and looks Great and new suspension soon get the car lower will post photos when done

Cool can't wait to see the pictures when you lower your car. Sports cat, big intercooler.... great stuff, wish I could do all this, a bit pissed off thinking about it as I don't know where I stand with this new engine. Am off for a week from the 21st so I going to push this new engine hard and see what happens.
