I'm pretty sure I know exactly what the issue is from the symptoms you've described..

Gutted for you. But you're in a much better position than alot of people were 2 years ago when this was happening to them - at least with the help of this forum you can find out the cause, symptoms, ways Citroen are trying to fix it and the results. Research is key so I'd get in there early and start collecting information from here ready to produce to Citroen UK / your dealer incase this happens again - I'm pretty positive it will so just be ready.

Well citroen have it now they say they can't look at it till Friday and won't lend me a car :/ so gotta buy something cheap for the time been AA bloke told me it's something inside the engine misfiring shaking really bad fan always on. Yep tell me the bad news lol :/.

Sounds as though you've got the most common issue which is symptomatic of the THP..

Piston failure.

Previous cases have seen the piston heads sheer off completely sending shards of metal into the oil and subsequently the oil pump.

Best case scenario - The piston hasn't sheered and it simply requires a top-end rebuild and you'll be without the car for a month or so.

Worst case scenario - The piston has shit itself and Citroen will give you a brand new engine meaning you'll be without the car for a month or so.

Really sorry to hear you're another person affected by this Richy. Get on the phone to CUK immediately to raise a case with them and chase them every day for an update. If you don't push CUK they will take their time about it.

Yeah guys cheers the AA bloke took the spark plug out and it was full of oil citroen do think it's pistons :/ if they have it for a month gonna miss traks gutted
