  • Juddering wiper blade

The large blade(drivers side) has been juddering ever since I got the car (only a week). Tried a new blade on it but to no avail.
    Any suggestions?

Make sure the wiper/s doesn't have any grease on them, same goes for the window screen. Vinegar is good to get grease off wiper blades.

I have had the same problem with the drivers side wiper for a while now. I've tried cleaning with alcohol, vinegar and nothing seems to have worked. I have managed to put up with it but driving at night was getting worse when it rained so I bought a new set of Bosch wipers and that has stopped the problem. Any body know why my wiper blades have only lasted 10 months??

I get this as well. Afraid to mess with it and do some permanent damage to the wipers.

New glass screens will have a coating on it from the manufacturing process and that's what causes the issue, I've found that wiping it over with methylated spirits does the trick.

Is there a specific product you'd recommend?

If you're near a Halfords this would do it:

Obvs you can buy this in Homebase, B&Q etc as well

I had the same problem. I think its just a new car things.
Could give the blades a quick clean.

Mine have stopped now after having it for 6 months.

Can you also try using a Clay Bar on the glass to make sure that all the protection wax residue is removed which can cause skipping wipers.

Got my brand new DS3 on Friday and it is doing this with 16miles on the clock

Going to clean the windscreen and wipers hardcore, see if that makes a diff.

Sounds like the glass is not de waxed correctly. Try using a fine steel wool or clay bar to improve to finish of the glass.

Wouldnt a steel wool create tiny scratches on the glass Biggie?

I had this too when I first got the car, took a few months before it settled down

I never actually knew that you could use methylated spirit for that sort of thing. I've always used it to fill up my camping stove at Glasto.
Would using meth not damage the paint though?
