So I'm going to pick up my dad from the hospital today and in waiting to turn left to enter the hospital car park. I'm completely stationary but somehow a man driving a mobility scooter manages to crash his chair into the front of the car. I'm not exaggerating when I say crash because he actually had to reverse his scooter to keep crossing the road. What happened next I still can't really believe. The man simply reverses and keeps on driving as if nothing has happened. I have only had this car for a month and it was up until now scratch/dent free so when I got out to look at where he hit me there was a deep 4-5 inch scratch next to various scuff marks. I ask him to come back and he didn't even turn around to acknowledge me! I had to jog down the road to catch him and when I did he stops and tells me he's late for his appointment and hasn't got time to stop and look at the car. At this point a pedestrian joins in and tells me to let him go because he's in a wheelchair. I'm sorry but whether you're a wheelchair user, a cyclist or even a blind person with a stick, if you hit something and damage it the bare minimum is surely an apology? I took down his details but I'm unsure what I can even do with them to be fair. Just very frustrated.
