" thanks for your comments. The lights are interchangeable if you already have a DS3"

I think they know that a lot of people will be looking to upgrade their lights.

    • Just read on a dutch site that the indicators are similar to the numéro 9 concept! Makes me want it even more... It also said it will be expensive (no prices included)

        • This is the face-lifted Citroen DS3, which has new engines, more personalisation options and safety kit, and a new headlight design for the top trim.

DSign and DStyle cars don’t have any exterior changes for 2014, but range-topping DSport cars get new headlights that use a combination of xenons and LEDs. Sequential indicators ‘sweep’ orange light in the direction that the car is turning, working in the same way as the Matrix LED system on the new Audi A8 limo.

Citroen is introducing three new engines for the DS3 and DS3 Cabriolet. Two new BlueHDi diesels - in 99bhp and 118bhp states of tune - are expected to replace the 89bhp and 113bhp e-HDi Airdream engines across the range. The BlueHDi engines have CO2 emissions as low as 79g/km and official fuel economy of up to 94mpg.

UK customers may also be able to buy a new 81bhp e-VTi petrol model, although this is still to be confirmed. The e-VTi comes with Citroen’s ETG automated manual gearbox, and will offer fuel economy of up 69mpg with CO2 emissions of 95g/km.

Personalisation options for the new DS3 and DS3 Cabrio now include the choice of a dashboard strip laser-etched with the DS logo, as well as a screen-printed rear window. New Pearl White paint is offered on both cars, while the Cabrio can also be ordered in Belle-Ile Blue. New 17-inch alloy wheels are also available, as shown here.

Selected versions of the DS3 models will now include Active City Brake technology as standard, which works below 20mph to prevent low-speed collisions in town. Finally, a reversing camera will be added to the options list, which is automatically linked to Citroen’s sat-nav system.

The Citroen DS3’s new features will apply to all cars built from July onwards. Pricing has not yet been announced, but we expect a small increase on certain models to account for the extra safety kit and more efficient engines.

              • Looks good, although the step backwards with the 5speed gearbox is a bit of a concern.

                        • Another safety feature is a low tyre pressure warning - on one of the pictures of the dash screen you will see: "Initialisation de sous-gonflage" (initialisation of under-inflation).

Looks like the fancy illuminated border around the headlights doesn't replace the existing LEDs as DRLs - if you look at the picture of the reversing camera screen you will see the Whisper Purple car they have used for the photoshoot with the LEDs lit.

                          • Lights are growing on me. I didn't quite understand what "sequential indicators" meant in the press release.... but you can see what it means in this

Like that Citroen have confirmed via Facebook that the lights will be available for all DS models and current owners. **I know this video has been posted but hey... here it is on this page as well :P)

I'm interested to see if the indicators will be bright enough in comparison with those LEDs and Xenons. Quite a few Audis and VWs have DRLs that dim whilst the indicators are on, and then brighten up again once they cancel.

Do we think the front lights will be more expensive than the rear lights?
