No worries. I use offline playlists all the time. Love Spotify

Back on topic, I keep my phone in the cubby hole below the radio, in front of the gearstick.

            Maybe that's partly the problem.

But the phone doesn't seem to stay in the pocket under the radio very well even when driving slowly. Might have to try and put some non slip rubber on the base of it or something. Plastic on plastic is always going to be terrible

Don't bother with the mat and just buy a silicone case for your phone, have one for my S2 and it sticks everywhere with the added bonus of keeping my mobile scratch free!

Well, it would be handy as it would mean I can put other things in there too.

I have an MX5, don't have many cubby holes.

Go into your menu and select Bluetooth, now look at paired devices and look for you phone on the list. Note the symbols next to your phone, if there is a music note symbol listed next to your phone then the system is ready for streaming.

Now press the source button (either on the radio or remote stalk) and watch the radio display, you should see as you cycle through the inputs your phone.
