Made the mistake and used some Rimblades from new and they were totally useless. My next DS I intend to used alloygators.
I like the idea of the £5 fine.......... all those fines I could save up enough to buy the whole car....lol
ps. maybe even a £10 fine when they try and write the car off.....

My Rimblades have been pretty good- it depends how hard you whack the kerb I suppose
Rimblades much easier to put on, and the Alloygators I had, actually retained water behind the hard plastic, (Which rimblades don't do cos they are stuck to the rim, not just clipped) and took the clearcoat away from the rim, and after 18month they looked awful, white n powdery and pitted etc.
Actually left the Alloygators on when I part exed to cover the damage
Then again, accept that Rimblades are not as robust. However, they have changed the compound recently and its much tougher nowsigpicJog on Noddy

Mine was done worse than that by 1 learner on a test!! he did it good and proper and I had to have a new tyre!!! I have a section in my terms and conditions that any damage to wheels and tyres is the responsibility of the driver and they are liable for any costs incurred.
