    Both bulbs blowing at once sounds an awful lot like a power surge, if it happens again would suggest getting it looked at.

      Agreed- check the wiring and connections round the lamps. Feel if its warm, burnt, discoloured.
      Someone else had lamps blowing several times, it was the connector shorting out and blowing them. Connector melted

        I had a Metro years ago which used to get through lamp bulbs like nothing else. One day, I discovered there was an earth fault when I noticed that the throttle cable was sparking to the carburettor (!!!). Once I'd cleaned and reconnected the engine earth strap, it stopped consuming bulbs. I suppose I was lucky it didn't 'light up' more literally.

            Just looked at the wiki page for the metro and it was classified as a supermini same as the DS3. How do they compare Bryn?

              Had a Metro as a company car for about a month, once. Went from a big new Ford Sierra estate (I think it was sierra) to a 3 year old Metro
              It was like driving a lawn mower- got shot of it pronto. Not sure what i had next.

                      Metro = supermini !!!!

                      Sorry - I'm struggling with that concept!

                      To be fair, it did serve us quite well for many years as a family car for round town local use, though it struggled a bit on the motorway with 4 up.
