I've owned the 90HDi and 120VTi and they are both quiet on the motorway.
The 90HDi feels faster but that's because if the turbo, and if you're in to remapping, it can be mapped to 120bhp.

Is it really loud on the motorway? In the reviews I've read they've said it's a quite drone-y.

I've been reading reports of 37mpg, which sounds quite low but I'm not really sure. Apologies for all the questions!

had my 120vti since jan, and can say i am happy with it, i moved from a renault 115 dci, which was ok once it was moving, my motoring is mainly short journeys, ie 3 miles most, but have a run out on weekends, i average about 36mpg around town and 48/51mpg on a long run cruising at 70 on m/ways. i think the only thing the car could do with is a sunroof.

I do 50 miles a week all town and usually get to my destination before the engine gets warm, just did a 200mile trip on the motor way and at 77mph was getting about 45mpg
