Does it make your ears bleed at 90?! Haha

I've owned the 90HDi and 120VTi and they are both quiet on the motorway.

The 90HDi feels faster but that's because if the turbo, and if you're in to remapping, it can be mapped to 120bhp.

Is it really loud on the motorway? In the reviews I've read they've said it's a quite drone-y.

When I was a student......around 100 years ago,I used to drive from Bournemouth to Stockport quite regularly,in an Austin A40,and I was quite pleased to hear a drony noise 'cos it meant the engine was still going!!:

Why did you change if you don't mind me asking? Are you spending lots more on fuel now?

I've been reading reports of 37mpg, which sounds quite low but I'm not really sure. Apologies for all the questions!

Wanted something faster than the 90HDi think I averaged 45mpg and in my VTi I struggle to get 30mpg, but all I do is town driving in rush hour.

had my 120vti since jan, and can say i am happy with it, i moved from a renault 115 dci, which was ok once it was moving, my motoring is mainly short journeys, ie 3 miles most, but have a run out on weekends, i average about 36mpg around town and 48/51mpg on a long run cruising at 70 on m/ways. i think the only thing the car could do with is a sunroof.

I do 50 miles a week all town and usually get to my destination before the engine gets warm, just did a 200mile trip on the motor way and at 77mph was getting about 45mpg

                    45-50mpg doesn't sound too bad!

You can, but i think 3bhp at most? K&N do it I think. Not really worth it. Best off getting a less restrictive exhaust.

I just put a Pipercross one on my vti mainly as it was under £30! But you won't exactly gain much other than it will last ages!

I spoke to my dealer and I'd have to add another 1k to the pot to bring my payments down to near where I want them (around £200) if I opted for a Dsport.

I'm not sure if it's worth it. Stress!
