Car just been taken for Service!!

So my car has just been collected from my work place for its first full service .... DO NOT CLEAN SIGNS attached!! I always worry too much when I give my car to Citroen .....will be checking it over in detail when its returned :-)

Told them not to wash mine at my service last week- he wrote that over the notes
It came back sparklin.......................cos it went in sparklin :star:

They had one of those gigantic, horrible automated washers, which looked as if it had loads rags dangling from the rollers, too.

Mine's in today as well, I was glad to see notes on the service sheet about not washing and the man even pointed out my car to the car washer as one not to wash.

SO!!!! ......one angry Citroen owner !!!!! I have just had a call from the Citroen garage indicating that my car is NOT due for a service???????????

The guy on the phone said that my car is not due for a service until 2015??

I purchased the car on the 26th April 2012

Last year it had a "semi service / check up" around this time.

This year I thought it was due its first major service (my understanding of the first full service is either at 2yrs or 20000miles)


Am I missing something here guys?? Or is my Citroen garage just trying to ruin my day!!!!!

I really want to review my paperwork but its at home ....and I have no car!!!!

Looking at Citroen's website, you're due every 20k miles or 2 years which ever is sooner. http://info.citroen.co.uk/finance-an...vice-intervals

If you had an annual check a year ago, then you should be due a service now. What's your mileage?

My mileage is 17500 ....but the car is 2yrs old in 30 days and I was told I could book it in a month early .....?

I also concur .....!!! I know I am right and the guy is just reading off numbers to me and saying its not due. I especially want it doing after the mess I had last year with the Timing Chain fiasco!! plus its been miss-firing recently when cold ....

I am now waiting for them to call me back so I can "cough" have a calm discussion with him ....!!!

The guy even said to start with that the car needs to have done 40K miles before its first service ....!! I didn't take much notice of his facts and figures after that statement lol

Citroen Kettering .....He has now told me that they did a service last year (roughly 8500 miles) and they would have reset the service timer thingy on the car? all they did last year though was Oil filter, Oil, Pollen filter.

I assumed that in this service they would change the spark plugs?

Anyway ....car is on its way back and I have re booked it in for the miss-firing (they are giving me a free courtesy car)

Also the black vinyl on the drivers door is being looked at by Citroen bodyshop in Wellingborough, but I need to take it to them.

What a stressful day with Citroen :-(
