Mines mid/late 2011... You can see my vin on the topic i created conserning my car, so if anyone who can read that gibberish would share the exact product month.
went to overtake a lorry on the M40, pulled out and put my foot down only for the car to judder like crazy, go bang and then drop in and out of acceleration. the engine light came on for the first time ever and I've got a nice new message telling me that my car is "anti-pollution system faulty"

happy new year
This is how the never ending cycle starts. It'll get fixed, then 2 weeks later you will be overtaking something and the same thing will happen. So annoying and possibly dangerous.

Same thing happened to mine frequently in 5th & 6th gears...
Dealer replaced a blocked filter which branches off the larger turbo piping i think...It's the smaller shealded piping just behind the turbo pipe (TOP RIGHT) in the photo.
Been fine so far since replaced
This picture was taken from first post & is NOT my Engine before any body mentions the oil lol.
Got the bee back... Some valve inside the manifold was frozen shut and that caused everything (think he said it was manifolds seal that gave up)... Everything is cleaned now, turbo intake, intercooler and all the piping + some new kind of an was manifold installed.
Was told that this is some sort of a new fault that has just been noticed by citroën and has nothing to do with the old THP issues... Sooo... Better prepare for it guys.
Funny thing tho, they just happened to have that new type of the manifold already, even tho the info for the fault "Just came in".. Should of checked one of their showroom cars if it had manifold missing or something.
Checked my oil this weekend - it's been a couple of weeks and 2k+ miles of spirited driving since I last did so - and there's oil all over the valve cover & around the plugs. It's been clean as a whistle up to now.
Sigh.
Looks like it's time for another trip to the menders.
My engine cover has a small swimming pool on it right now and this is AFTER the engine mod that Citroen recalled it for. The official response from Citroen is:
"I must make it clear that oil misting is a characteristic of this engine (and others) not a fault. The modification is to improve the engine breathing system, this ultimately reduces the amount of oil seepage in the process. Under normal conditions and usage light misting will not havean adverse effect on the engine."
