but surely thats a mod and would void the warranty anyway? honestly i want out of this car

As I said before do you save the engine or worry about the warranty and another engine goes bang.

the warranty ends next june! its done 42k, now its got the new engine , tempted to hand it back now to be honest

The engines done a lot less than 42k, so would use it a while first
But that's your choice obvs

If you could sell for more than you owe, youd be quids in wouldn't you? - but that is quite high mileage comparing to 12k average per year
