The reason they don't blow as often is low level of factory tune. When you tune it issues appear. Same hardware. If it was superior, why wouldn't they use it o Racing?

Can only speak as i find Rag. My 150 was remapped for 22,000 and no issues, and I know 155 owner almost 20,000 miles in and no issues
Begining to think there is something in the comment about "Driving style" as only some cars seem to get major problems

Racings seem to have suffered badly tho, but they were stopped production in 2011

My THP was on 23995 when I traded it in, no issues in the 2 years I had the car.

Lots of urban driving will increase the risks vs. highway.

^ Think you are right there- but also dropping the gears, and accelerating hard wont do much good either.
            Decent fuel a must too

There's a specialist here in Greece who programms thps..with a programm,a new fcone filter and a new exhaust he managed to get 220 bhp..his engine also works at a lower temp now...

Well engine rebuild is not that expensive if you are lucky like I was. Only needed a new piston, but replaced all plus con rods. We looked at a damage around 2k quid in total.

That's a lot just for it to go again in x amount of miles... But I guess if I keep fresh oil and filters.. shell vpower fuel and some tidy plugs she will last a bit longer...

I have done almost 25tkm after rebuild. I live in a bubble that catch can, pcv recirculation mod, WMI and E85 will postpone issues

Pcv?? Wmi?? E85?? Seen wossner pistons or how ever you spell it... Would that cure some of the thps reliability issues?

In this case Pcv referring to the two breather pipes that breath oil and where you hook catch can.

Wmi water methanol injection, in my case Ethanol as I do not use methanol. Sprays bursts into intake, to clean valves, cool air, and boost octane.

E85 refers to alcohol fuel. 85% ethanol, rest fuel and additives. Octane rating around 106,takes better beating and burns cleaner than gasoline.

Wössner ZRP kit is specified up to 800hp. So yes it should provide better reliability when the THP decides to knock.
