Why on earth would he want to do that ? They're pointless in your THP, never mind a VTi.

Don't cut your bonnet up - you'll just leave holes in it and have a bigger hole in your wallet when you need to buy a new bonnet.

Have watched the engine intake temperatures on the move, and they appear a lot better with the vents.
Not much good at idle, admittedly
Car certainly feels smoother, as i think the warm (Bleeding hot) engine bay air gets out the way quicker
