What we've done with ours. If you don't have a clue what you are doing get someone else to do it.

We offer a full stage 1 package which is intercooler, remap and DPF delete for a set price.

I already had a remap, Is it necesarry to remap again after DPF delete? Or is it enough to just programm out the DPF from the Ecu?

Other than a higher AFR, another option to reduce smoke could be to pre-inject a portion of the diesel at BDC. This way the final injection is the ignition and you get multiple ignition sites in the camber. Down side is that you may get oil contamination if the fuel gets past the ring pack... (some might find this interesting )

Is it ignition sites in the combustion Chamber?

I won`t have oil anywhere near my ring pack!

                yes.
with direct injection the shape of the piston crown is important to get correct/optimum fuel saturation. so, richer burn in the centre of the piston crown and lean around the edges so that you burn all of the fuel. higher concentration of fuel around thedges is unlikely to burn.
with the pre-injection the fuel mixes (saturates) more fully in the camber, so you'll get a better/cleaner burn, but you will get fuel going around the top edge of the piston and may go down past the rings. Newer ring packs are genually better designed so this shouldnt be a problem, but still the main downside for pre-injection. the up side is multiple ignition sites within the combustion camber so potentially more of the fuel burns, or rather a cleaner burn resulting in less soot/particles/unburn diesel in the exhaust.
think i typed this right, using phone so cant see what ive typed

                    Word of warning:
Any car that is supposed to have a DPF fitted will automatically fail an MOT if the DPF has been removed or bypassed.

"In October 2013 Robert Goodwill, roads minister, announced that garages and testing stations will be required to check for a DPF as part of the MoT test from February 2014. The vehicle will automatically fail test if the filter had been fitted as standard but is no longer present."

At the moment it is only a visual inspection to see if it's there or not.

I'm very intrigued to pump a bit more power out of my 90.
