Just a cheap thing off Amazon I'm testing, once I've done the road I'll be able to say if it's worth it or not- real gains and any problems it might cause.

Nah, they know what their doing and best to let them get on with it. Will be interesting to see what gains this little box gives for 83 quid- even if it's just a 10% gain it's still fine for 80 odd quid- just plugs in, has 8 settings and you can just unplug it at any time. I know the thing will not deliver anything much- I don;t expect it to for that money but being a Nerd and having way too much curiosity I just had to order and try it. Problem being when I try things, I really do it properly lol

Will be interested to know how you get on with the MAGIC box NERDY
I have qualms with Remap- so many other things you should do to go with it
A few have had major issues after remapping- But i will do it before warranty expires CBLUE
The way I see it is that the engines who have had an issue after a remap would have had issues without it. I'll be following their guidance in terms of additional things they think should be done tot the engine. I got the ds3 to play with, and this is how I play lol

Fair enough
To get a 150- or 155 around 180 or more is great. Remap will increase to this i think with other mods
Will do it , but with a few months warranty left, then try and blag any issues (If) as they come
So have to wait 20 months or so LOL CBLUE
What ther mods are you referring to and who has had issues caused by the remap?
Have a go with the search button on "thp remap"
mattds3sport for one
Mods to do- PCV Delete, new air filter, plugs, change blow off valve etc etc
Think you contributed to some of the threads
Also- have been told at recent shows by other club members CBLUE

The Viezu remap isn't the cause of the THP engine failures. This is an inherent fault in the THP. Mine's booked in under warranty again tomorrow to look at why the juddering fault has re-surfaced after a full engine replacement.
The mods you've mentioned aren't necessary before a remap also. Remaps are probably the cheapest bang for your buck for the biggest gains. I would recommend doing all of the above though to get the most out of your basic engine.

Being precise-
I didnt mention Viezu
Mods may not be necessary- but most people say you should do them (Even you Ha!)
Sorry to hear of your juddering fault after full engine replacement- had you had a remap?
What is the "inherent fault in the THP" as I wasnt aware that there was an inherent fault
Think you told me bout quite a few mods you have had done at FCS? Will they worry bout those re the warranty? CBLUE

Timing chain tensioner-leading to a number of other problems-leading to a new engine
high pressure fuel pump
gummed up valves-leading to new engine
a small valve under the intake manifold (forget the name) that causes a vacuum leak
probably others I'm forgetting
But still love my THP

TBH I'm expecting the company to tell me to decrease the spark gap and change filter (already ordered) but then again- those are things anyone would recommend on a turbo engine even without a remap

To name but a few, cheers lol.
Mods on mine that Citroen are aware of:
Forge induction
Forge BOV
Remap
Silicon hoses and steel pipes all round
Modified backbox
Nitrous
Horn
interior lighting
I think that covers everything..
My dealer did have to speak to CUK regarding getting it done under warranty. I'm actually quite please considering me and CUK haven't always seen eye to eye after my engine blew last time.
