Should take it no problem, others here have mapped their cars to around 200bhp with no worries (yet :P). As far as I know the gearbox is the same in the DS3R and the Cooper S but with the Cooper S using shorter ratios than the DS3.

Hi Fooda
Does the heat in Saudi affect the running of the car?
And what about all that sand and the paintwork- You apply anything to the paintwork? CBLUE
welllll .. im a university student so i dont have the money or time to apply anything to the paintwork .. and its not really affected by the sand or anything as you see in the pics i posted earlier
as for the heat it does make a difference when its hot .. nowadays it reaches around 50C (i know thats very very hot) so i get less power and more lag from the turbo .. we dont have dyno's to test it but i can definetely feel it .. but in the winter we get about 20C at night so u get more power and less lag from the turbo
Other than that it's running completely normal .. the temperature gauge never got over half
Blimey- 50celsius. I'd give my back teeth for half that in the UK if we saw the sun too!
Spose you like a lot of night time driving too- cooler intake temp
AND COME ON- WHATS THE PRICE OF UNLEADED? TUPPENCE HAPENNY? CBLUE
Blue skies and Hot temperatures- luvly
Price of petrol- even better
Sell DS3s in Saudi too- marvellous
But if I drive fast in Saudi, will get lost and end up in Syria, or Iraq (Not good at the moment:cool
So will stay in UK thank you - weather not great, petrol high price- but nice cuppa tea! And winning Gold medals
GOOD to see women Saudi's in the OLYMPICS CBLUE
They normally swap in an uprated AC for the mid East, that's why it takes a while for most European models to get over there- bigger AC, bigger draw on the engine and thus less power. Big problem being you can't drive during the day without the AC on.
A bigger intercooler will do you a HUGE favour out there especially with a remap with extra torque to help run the AC.
loving the updated Saudi fuel prices, even cheaper than Dubai lol

In that heat and humidity I'd say a better intercooler is almost 100% necessary or you won't get any gains out of the remap because your intake temperature will be too high. I would make it your first mod, not your last.

hmmmm .. in that case i'll ask about the intercooler .. im not sure how to get one here but i have some friends who modded their DS3's so i'll ask them about it
If it's anything like Dubai then there'll be lots of garages who can build one for you to specification. There's a post on here where someone in France or Holland I think had one custom built, also has rough plans. Either that or just order one from Forge- they should deliver
