I'm not sure if the filter really needs oil but I would suppose so. I previously bought a similar RamAir foam filter and it came with oil and some kinda cleaning solvent.
If the intercooler is efficient, then a cold air feed is redundant, as a cold air feed on a forced induction engine is not really cold air being fed into and through the forced induction into the intercooler !!

When oil is applied to any form of filter material, it restricts air flow, as a general rule of thumb, if a filter requires oil, the filter medium will be a poor open weave with poor particle entrapment, hence the use of oil to close the open weave to improve the particle size entrapment.

I agree IC efficiency is far more important than turbo inlet temperature. The IC on the Racing is quite small and the fact being it's a dual pass probably doesn't help either. On my car there is actually a fan mounted on the back of the IC. Almost seems like an afterthought from Citroen

About oil for the RamAir filters I read on their site that the filters are pre-oiled from the factory so the oil and cleaner is probably just for maintenance. The filter I got with the MTC kit felt completly dry though so I put some oil on it anyways.

gauze filters will be oiled, foam filters can be either oiled or dry. Refer to the manufacturer for what it requires.

The 150/155 thp and racing are the same. The MTC kit doesn’t fit either....cheap copy of the forge kit, you get what you pay for I’m afraid.
